Kyoshos 4wd LazerSP4WC or something like at was almost $800

the funniest part to me is all the local "shortbus" guys are buying the high end Kyosho SC thing at $400 with no wheels, tires, or body and needs $24 spring sets, and 300 worth of spare parts

You guys never get enough. They only just released that new sandmaster with the roll-cage some months ago

That shadowy buggy is not the new sandmaster, the shock tower shape is not the same. It REALLY looks like a new remix on the old Ultima, but I'm not going to get too excited yet. Kyosho hasn't done any rere's yet.

I´ve heard that the mold forms from the eighties are gone.
And there´s no money in having new ones engineered.
My guess is that a max of 2000 pieces of re-re would be sold per Ultima and Optima - if they ever were reproduced?

I kinda like the idea of that shadowed pic possibly being an RB6 with a more realistic looking buggy body on it. I realize the 2wd buggy can only be refined so much that they are having to make bodies that give aerodynamic advantages, but come on, they are butt ugly. They do not attract new people to the hobby, cause they simply do not look realistic, or attractive either.

That's what I said when the Ultima DB came out a few years back. Put the buggy length RB5 chassis under it, buggy arms and buggy tires. It'd be COOL.

Just found this on Area 52
"We just noticed that the banner on Kyosho America's website is called 'Banner_big-scorpion'. Anyone of you who knows a bit about Kyosho's history may remember the iconic Scorpion 2WD buggy. Is the big K digging up the old name to create a new line of 'vintage 2012' cars? We very hope so! Looks like exciting times are ahead of us!"
It sounds promising, I would like to see an up to date version of the Scorpion.
But hopefully with better parts than their Sand Master II

If they re-do a Scorpion somehow, I hope they do it right! If so, it could be a home-run hit for Kyosho.
