Nice, BUT the belt is missing (not easy to source), so does the specific steering system that is actually shorter than the stock one (dimesionwise) you have on it right now. There is no way the belt is going to be able to move free up there in the front. It also looks like the rear "mippet", which is the external pulley in MIP owns terms, has been swapped with the front one (which should have a slipper system). You also have on there: MIP hard coated shocks on the rear, Litesink heatsink motorplate, RPS/Losi steering bellcranks and Tecnacraft Titanium turnbuckles all around. Most of the manual pages are here in the scan section and you will find quite a lot of these MIP 4x4 conversions on this very forum (I have one myself). Oh and it also looks like you're missing the belt tensioner and the servo should be on the other side of the tub too... Good luck!

I bet Jim of Jim's VW Service in Monterey Park, CA. receives at least one phone call asking if there's anything left of his RC10 collection.

Thanks for the info. Looks like the kit isn't quite complete, and I'm guessing parts for it aren't easy to come by. Oh well, it's still cool! I traded a guy down the street a brushless B4.1 and a lipo set up for a bunch of vintage RC stuff, though this was the biggest prize.

next in line is a complete set of Mauri Big Bear tires and wheels. Probably not worth more than $30, but they might be my favourite find in the bunch. The're just cool.

Thanks again for all the info, it is greatly appreciated!!

Ooops. As I told another fellow earlier today it was certainly not my intention to irritate anyone on the board, I think this is a great forum and resource and am amazed at the level of detail you guys have on the early stuff. I can also understand why I'm not your favourite new member.

2 weeks ago I posted this on my local Craigslist:

http://seattle.craigslist.org/see/tag/2913276208.html

I love finding the old stuff, I'm addicted to it, but I can not keep it for space and financial reasons. I allow myself 2 cars: one shelf queen and one runner. That's it. About 30% of the stuff I've bought in the last 2 weeks would have been thrown away had someone not read my post. Today I bought an A stamp Cadillac from an old lady who literally would have thrown it away if her grandson had not seen my post on CL. I am not making this up, that happened TODAY.

Blah blah blah.

The fact is my post should have read:

"I just got this 4X4 gold pan from a guy down the street. I'll probably sell it on ebay, but does anyone know what it is?"

I should have said up front that I was going to auction the car and I didn't. I'm new to the forum and didn't know I would piss every one off. LESSON LEARNED!!!

You could at least be upfront in your ad and instead of writing
I'm a collector and looking for Vintage RC cars, trucks and entire collections.
state you real purpose.
