Ok here's what I did. Completely disassembled the carb, removed all rubber, and soaked it in carb cleaner. Changed the fuel lines. Now gas will get to the carb but VERY slowly. The car still won't run after the nitro I force feed it runs out. I have a new tank coming. Any suggestions?

Well you could double check your input to your tank. If you are sliding the fuel line into the pipe with the stock pipe that came with it, is it tight in there and are you pushing it towards the motor when you go into it? Needs to be a tight fit going thru that hole and have enuf tubing in the pipe to keep it pointed to the motor. If you use a smaller diameter fuel tubing you could be leaking past the fuel tubing making it not pressurize the tank. If you are using some other pipe with a nipple is it clear so no obstructions in the nipple? I've had a little dirt in 90 degree nipple before and it will drastically reduce performance.
Next you could check your tank by removing the fuel line off the carb and off the pipe. Try blowing into it. Does it push thru easily? It should. If it doesn't the bronze filter is plugged or gummed up with old fuel. Also while you are doing this is the lid on the tank leaking air past the seal? Could also leak here so there isn't enuf pressure to push fuel.
If the new tank doesn't remedy any of this...punt!

yes, everything should change out to your OS if the motor in there is a shortshaft. If its an SG crank in that motor you'll need a clutch nut setup for your OS like this

The o.s. is not a short shaft. Unfortunately.

Can I cut the shaft to a shorter length of the stock ae?

yep. There is a cutoff nut just for this but can't seem to find it right now. Threads on and you cut it off at the end of it and pull it off and you are set. Cut to the correct length.

That is very interesting. And a great idea.
I do have a HUGE sence of accomplishment right now though. I d.ecided to tackle the carb again. Took it all apart ,and using a plastic brush, cleaned out every needle where gas could go. Felt the blockage give way when I stuck it in the needle under the high speed mixture fitting. Put it all back together and the thing works!!! Fired right up. Now I have to decide weather to use the OC for this car or an Hpi super nitro rally that I have.

Just a thought. Can I swap shafts from the longer o.s. to the shorter ae? That way I could still use the ae for a different project.

Yep.

more than likely not but you can give it a shot. I doubt lengths, bearings or anything will match up.
