I had no 2.2 wheels at all, I've just ordered a set of JCs.
I have a Works 91 that I was going to rebuild for the shelf so I don't really want to butcher it but I could.
I was thinking about trying to get hold of a set of arms like the ones in this thread:-
http://www.rc10talk.com/viewtopic.php?f=29&t=7602
but I don't know how to get in touch with Dynotech.
The budget isn't as important as retaining the original track width.

with the JC wheels the works suspension is the easiest way, but spare arms will be hard.
Now if you go back to the 4 page thread you will see I used similar offset wheels as the JC ones and still got it right at the desired track width. (I think I put a ruler in the pics...)

I see how that would all work if I can find the axle carriers (I’ve got a lot of Tamiya stuff laid about, they look a little like Super Astute parts) In your last post you make reference to the 68mm shafts binding in the diff cups, did you resolve this issue

... not sure actually: I only built it to illustrate the possibility, Then took it apart again. Maybe I could have used optima mid rear carriers or adjusted the camber links posion/length to lean the tires in a little less.
Tamiya axles are a good start: their shaft is a little wider than kyoshos and therefor they are more likely to work even with axle carriers that use 11x5 bearings.

I've drooped and Email to Dynotech, if I can get Works 91 arms from them I think that's the direction I'm going to go, if not I'll take the Tamiya axle carrier route.

I took a few more accurate measurements last night.
the 870c has an approx 235mm width stock.
the JC wheels up front are slightly over 1mm difference in offset, so overall, the front width will be just under 3mm narrower.
the JC wheels out back are roughly 6mm narrower and thus would need a 6mm spacer, or new set of rear hubs spun up. If you used a front hub which is 3mm thicker than a rear hub, you could use a 3mm spacer. If you are handy with hand tools, and had a spare set of front hubs, you could get away with running the JC wheels very cheaply.
I found a length of 3/4" square stock in my raw material. this is within a few thousandths of 19mm, which is what the square hubs are. should be easy to spin up a few sets. I have a set of JC wheels, so I'm going to need to do something anyway.
if interested, let me know.

That does seem like a neat alternative, I'll see how the Dynotech thing works out

I have a set of JC wheels and made my own spacer to make up for the offset.
I have not made the full set for the car yet since I am still trying to gather the parts I need.

Well I've had nothing back from Dynotech so I'll go the spacer way, it looks like it's gong to be the easiest way and they look very nice too Jake

looks good jake....I spun one adapter up the other day, just need a couple holes drilled and tapped. I'm sidetracked right now because I realized it would be a great idea if I spun up another motor pulley for my lathe before the one I have finally bites it. the V groove is worn so thin it's amazing it's still working. rather than chance moving forward with any other parts, this pulley needs to be made.
