I was just thinking of doing this same thing with another 10T I plan to rebuild. I already have my stock SC10 wheels. All I need to order is a CVD set. A T3 set will work, right?

I guess I could also use the adapters and bump up to 1/8th scale tires, right? Any thoughts on that being a problem?

Yup, the SC10 wheels will rip the body to shreds the first time that you make a full lock turn-

Just checking before I do it...

Could I use the RC10T dogbones with SC10 axles and bearings in the 10T hub? It makes sense to me but who knows? I'll try and post what I find.

I'm making a basher from spares, so I thought this would help me save $25.00 or so on new CVDs.

One question:

I think the 10T dogbones are a different length than the SC10 bones. I have both; is one set better than the other? Do you need to use the SC10 bones when using the SC10 axles?

I put SC10 tires on my RC10T without changing my axles. all I did was take a dremel and opened up the wheel a little to go over the step up on the axles. The handling is really loose on dirt. put on pavement or hard pack dirt it handles great. It also doesnt tear the body up. I also upgraded to a 15 turn motor and a 7-cell battery. The only thing I had to do is put a cooling fan on my esc and change the pinion gear 17.

The SC10 body is much bigger than the other truck bodies. The SC10 chassis is also much longer - it's basically a stretched T4 chassis.
