I know that feeling and have been going through it for the past month. I've got about another two weeks of it.

Been answering PMs after I got home today. Let me know if I missed someone.

You likely won't hear much from me this coming week, we are a week and a half away. There is a light at the end of the tunnel.

Nothing like a beautiful cool 65 degree blue skied Sunday morning in the South........................................... sitting inside the office. Yes, I am still whining. Just checking my PMs, so I thought I whine a bit more. :P

Things should be getting back to normal as of today at 3:29 p.m. We are pretty much done with what we were working, vehicle is in Virginia and delivery to out customer is Monday. Paperwork is being FedExed on Monday too. I can't begin to describe how much of a hell week this has been. 12 hour per day weekends and 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. weekdays ending with 8 hours today.

Anyway, life should be returning to normal for me this week, then I will be off for a week starting Oct 12. I will read up over the next couple of days and start returning PMs.

Glad to be back to normal (my wife is also glad I am returning to normal hours). Hope everyone is well.

Jay

Hey Mr. Lexan. Are you going to be doing more runs of the RCPS Turbo Mirage? Before I saw you on 10talk here, I had seen you on ebay and added you to my list of sellers when I saw the Mirage repro. Just curious since the last listing on ebay said "limited quantities". Thanks.

jay i feel your pain... 60-70 hour weeks are common in the world of advertising. the weeks prior to the vintage nats i was working past midnight almost every night, including weekends.

my first day back to work after the nats i worked from 9am to 4am and the pace hasnt let off yet.

i actually got a call yesterday morning that our client needed some additional presentation materials, so i and some peeps from our production studio had to sacrifice our saturday to create a couple boards that will be held by a corporate head honcho for approximately 30 seconds.

it really sucks when you are so beat that whatever time you get off you end up crashing or having to attend to really really lame stuff like laundry...

:?

We just about has a disaster on Friday at 1700. We are working with two sister companies, same company just another division run by a different group president. As everyone was going home for the weekend we got an email stating they pulled out of the project and the three guys at the top (literally the CEO and two guys under him) won't signoff. They scheduled a 0900 meeting on Sat...... then between 1700 and 1900 somebody worked some magic and must have signed there name in blood. We got an email saying disaster averted. I don't know what happened. I thought my weekend was going to be screwed and without that delay, we could have been done Friday night. Need I remind you this is due to ship out tomorrow.

I hear you on the long hours, but what sucks, this thing has eyes everywhere on it cross company and had to go through 50 levels of executive approval all the way to the guy at the top running a multi-billion company..... something else I don't understand.
