Very nice work sir. Just as many cool points as owning a MIP 4wd and it didn't cost you $900+.

Couldn't be any worse than XX4 belts :D

The beauty of this conversion is how few custom parts are used. A custom noseplate, bumper, tubes, towers, pulleys and belt are the only special parts. The rest is sourcing a spare trans, kyosho steering and bones, and some dremel work.

It's still a ways off....but don't worry I'm sure I will be able to sell a few before long

I played around with the front tower today, as I wasn't a fan of the look it had going. This mimics the A&L style tower or worlds tower a little closer. Opinions?

Nice. 8) It is more classic than the first one. I dig it.

One thing you might consider is taking the middle part of the tower (and spacer piece if that's what I see) down a bit to be perfectly flush with and minic the shape of the tranny base. I'd think the body lexan won't be out there to cover that, and if it was smooth, it'd give a cleaner look I think.

And you might be in need a new countersink bit? I like mine to have a lot of flutes and be chinese so they get dull and easy to control real quickly... http://www.harborfreight.com/1-2-half-inch-six-flute-countersink-93342.html

HI!... Looks good. Perhaps you could lighten up the front shock mount a bit with some holes? It looks very robust and solid.

I tried cutting it down and adding a hole lol, this is still just a mockup tower so just trying some things out

How about a half circle with the flat portion at the top.

So the smiley face the hole makes with the two center screws looks more like this :D than like this :o .

I'm starting to understand why you chose to o the way you did on this build. It's a hell of a thing trying to squeeze all that functionality in to such a small space.

Looking good.

By the way that top picture with the whole looks like a mouth with two googly eyes. :D
