Re: Masami replica buildup
Great project. I can't wait to see this one coming together. I wonder if anyone has some better pics from old rc car mags. I remember seeing this car in magazines quite a bit back then. Good luck with the build.

It's probably just the angle of the light reflection, or my monitor, but the trans brace looks like the color is more orange than red.scr8p wrote:there's nothing wrong with the trans brace. the spot on it your seeing is just some water.a01butal wrote:Pretty red parts except for that trans brace.
The servo saver came out nice. I haven't had such good results trying to dye those as they are a different type of material from the rest, did you have to leave it in a lot longer?

Re: Masami replica buildup
ya, it was in the dye like twice as long as the other parts. i should've let them in longer...... they're still a bit on the orange side.aconsola wrote:The servo saver came out nice. Cool Project. I like the replica builds and it looks like you are taking this one the full distance. Ambitious!

i'll be painting it.rctenracer wrote:Who is going to paint the body? Put my order in for one.
i'm gonna do a test run on a new body, just to see how it turns out before i do the one that's going on the car. i CAN'T screw that one up. you'll see why in a little while.
