This forum is exactly the reason I put up threads such as this. Its good to share cool projects like this with those who remember them and those who never knew them.
Hearing this car tear around sounds kinda like a freight train steaming straight out of hell- :lol: :lol: :lol: With a combination of 32 pitch spur and pinion, open chain drive drivetrain and old hardened rubber tyres this thing is a sight to see (and hear)-LOL! Its hard not to love it.... :D

Yeah, the sound on these cars is awesome, I powered mine with a 13T single trinity motor(speed gem of some type), I swear the car looked like it leapt off the track taking off.....4 roosters tails, and hang on! I thought I smoked one of the one way bearings on the front axle, but it turns out, it just sat a really long time and was gummed up.

incidentally, the one way bearing from a modern heli spur gear is the right size and pretty cheap. I think it's a esky honey bee king one way bearing.

Oh yeah, can you explain a little more about the belt diff mods? Sounds interesting....
