I Finally Own An RC10

Post by FasterLouder »

It only took me 20 years of wanting one!
I won an eBay auction on a Champ Edition, with a gold pan parts car,but the seller then informed me that he wouldn't post out of the US..Greeeat.
So,I dived in again and came up with this sucker for a whopping US$59...And it's on it's way. :D
Looks good, huh? Hardly any scratches on the underside...I'll stick some clear contact film to the underside, whack one of my brushless systems in it and drive the heck out of it for a few weeks...Then it's resto time.
I made the mistake of not driving my Turbo Ultima, before restoring it to undrivable condition...I'm not gonna make that mistake with this car.
I NEED to know what an RC10 drives like, damnit!
I feel all satisfied and smug,now...

Wheels?
Hmmm....I have some thinking to do,this might hurt.

WillyThickfoot is the man! :D

It's cleaning up REALLY well,it's never been apart before.
I've only just cleaned the chassis and the front end,so far.
I'll soak all the white nylon parts in bleach, soon, get 'em whiter than white. :D
It needs a rear shocktower,a rear bulkhead,a battery cup and probably a set of suspension arms, too.
UGH-And some OE ball cups!
eBay pretty much has it covered,I just need to wait for the auctions to end!
Or,if anyone here can help me out with parts?

Oh,a set of wheels!
I never realised that they were so hard to come by,or so pricey...Some Losi chrome outers would be cool, but I'd settle for some stockers, too!
Geez,and tires.
It'll be worth it,though. :D

Does anyone know what the hell body this is that came with the car?!

Your body is a Dahm's, 100% sure, I had one at some point, but as their web site has now dissapeared, I can't remember the name of it. I'm sure someone will pop in and let you know.

think that's a dahm's warrior. I have one on my losi/traxxas hybrid, I'll try and snap a pic sometime to see how close it is....
