Free 10t
A freind of mine gave me this truck today. I took him to the hobby shop years ago and he bought it and we put it together but he never put the electronics in it. I dont remember what year it was but I belive it was 96 or 97. He put it in the closet and never messed with it. So I was telling him about this site and that I had got into building the old cars again. I stopped by his shop and he said I got something for you. He whipped out this mint never ran rc10t. He still had everything that came with it the box, decal sheet, narrow fronts, motor, speed control and a new set of proline street tires. I am going to do a box art paint job and shelf it with my others.

Re: Free 10t
definitely paint it like the box. i got one in the same condition and that is a big regret of mine that i messed up on a boxart opportunty shelf queen. the body and stickers are impossible to get so don't mess up, really no pressure....lol CONGRATS.

Why do a box art copy?delsami wrote:definitely paint it like the box. i got one in the same condition and that is a big regret of mine that i messed up on a boxart opportunty shelf queen. the body and stickers are impossible to get so don't mess up, really no pressure....lol CONGRATS.
That's as bad a buying an rtr and keeping the stock body for it.
When you lack originality you end up just like half of everyone else.
Re: Free 10t
I have to agree. I don't understand everyone's obsession with box art. The paint scheme is your opportunity to express yourself in an otherwise belly button, me too world. Unless, of course, you are very much in love with the box art paint.

Why do a box art copy?
With it being new and never going to be ran I think it is best to paint it like the box. Also considering the fact that I have another 10t that is my old modified racer with a non box paint it would look good to have a stock one with the box paint next to it on the shelf along with my rc10 box art and modified rc10 non box art.
If it was avalable in an rtr version with a prepainted body, that may be a valid point. That's as bad a buying an rtr and keeping the stock body for it.
Some may agree while others dont but it just my preference.
