i love walking through those types of yards. there used to be a bunch of them around my place. some are still there, but not many. half the time, the only way to get on the property is to know a guy, who knows a guy, who knows the grandson of the 90 year old man that owns them all.

back in kansas there was a place out in the middle of nowhere, at least 15 miles off any paved road and kinda hard to find. it wasnt like a big time junkyard or anything, but it was enough to be kinda scary when you first came up on it.

CRAZY stuff out there. the families name was keysweater or something like that. we just called it flyswatters...

My neighbor recently went to a friend of a friend's place (you know how this goes). The owner, an old man that is terminally ill, has a ton of stuff....including one of the original GT40's. From my understanding, this is the only GT40 race car that's unaccounted for.

I love hearing about this kind of stuff. Just like the cars owned by the sultan...

The boom in scrap metal prices last year saw a lot of great old iron crushed. i watched a lot of large trailer loads pass by my buisness. Iv seen a lot less since the price has gone down. The back of my shop looks onto one of the main route through my part of the state. u used to be able to see great finds from the road going through the countryside. not so many these days
