Nice. I think I'm going to have to do some work on my LB so it actually steers this year. That was definately a fun class to run.

I would love to be there too, but that is right at the end of my very short, but very busy season at work. I just recently went from running my Pumpkin about once every couple of months to about once a week. It cracks me up drivin' it every time. On the verge of flipping at any moment. I would love to get to race it against some others. I'm gonna have to get the DVD from last year so I can see them.

I remember when i was a kid how much fun it was to drive the LB,It was one of my many fav from that time.i since have a couple and never get them out.Seeing yours makes me want to order a re release and get it going.

It may be commonplace in the Tamiya world, but my cousins put a Futaba FX10 front suspension on their LB and it is much better. Small mods to make it work, but worth the trouble. I like mine stock and bouncy!

I did that a few years ago with a CRP upgrade kit for the fx-10. it gives it a standard front hub carrier type setup so the front tires do not have the huge camber changes of thestock suspension. I may have to re-visit that setup for the nats, I'd love for my LB to be able to cream some blackfeet

Here are a few pics. Keep in mind they are from many years ago(2001-ish) and were taken with one of those cheapie USB web cam things as I didn't have a real digital camera at the time. Even if I did have a digicam, iirc, the ones around at the time didn't do much more than 800x600.
I got the CRP parts off of someone on ebay that was selling off a boat load of CRP Stuff. I think that seller eventually either turned into or sold out to the ebay seller teamcrp. Back about 8 years ago I bought a lot of the items they currently have listed, and many they don't, have any more, but the prices were much better back then. I think you can get the plastic parts for the crp conversion still, but it does not come with the hardware. The only hardware you really need from the kit are the hinge/king pins, and those can easily be substituted.
Fitting the shocks was a bit of a challenge as there was not much room between the steering and camber links. I wound up trimming the arms and using spacers between the arm and shock ball to get the spacing set correctly.

Note on this one that I used CRP barrel nuts on the front axle to widen it. These were made to fit on the short frog axles to fit truck wheels, but work quite nicly with spacers to widen the truck about 1cm on each side.

Now what is all used from the FX10.I really like how there is no bump steer.
That would have to be a must for anybody running a lunchbox of midnight Pumpkin

Seeing this makes me really want to build one(soon as the racefoot is done)

the arms and caster blocks are really all that I used from the kit. Search for "crp fx10" on ebay and you will find the kit in multiple colors.
