Mixing nitro percentages together

Post by FasterLouder »

I'm an electric guy but I've ended up with a Losi XXX-NT (Thanks Erik!) and it makes a fun change.
I have two bottles of glow fuel-One is 25% and the other is 15%. Can I mix the two together safely?
They're not the same brand. I don't want to damage my motor, or blow myself up. ...Anyone?

I wouldn't do it, not really worth it. There's nothing to gain from it and the lube packages and nitro contents might not agree with each other.

15% is a kinda low mix....I'd go threw this first, then the 25%....I ran 20% myself when I did. I still got 1/2 a gal left...

yeah don't mix different brands and grades of nitro fuel, just run through one then the other. you might have to retune a little. I run Byron 20% gen2 in my dynamite .12 platinum, nitro is a little expensive right now, at it's peak it was $50 a gallon for 30%, it's come down a bit though
