Who is this Duck
While checking out a link recommended by a member I came across this picture of a cool looking duck on the bonnet of a Tamiya truck. Anybody got any idea of who he is or where he came from?
Cheers

Re: Who is this Duck
That would be "The Rubber Duck" from the movie "Convoy". Convoy was a movie based on a song:

I know I saw that movie when I was a kid, but I remember very little about it. Other than it having a bad ass truck in it. Here's the truck:

God that song and movie were a lot of years ago! LOL I remember them being favorites of a buddy and I in grade school. As I recall, that's also where "BJ and the Bear" tv series came from. I always thought that was kind of a cool truck too.

Oh, that movie was terrible.... but Lea Thompson is looking nice in that still.... the joys of Aqua-Net hairspray.
BJ & the Bear was pretty awful too-- wasn't that the whole monkey & the cool guy genre aka Philo & Clyde in "Every Which Way But Loose"?

The preceding contained opinions, beliefs and thoughts that all may not agree with. No offense was intended at any point. Carry on.

In 1976 era Claude Akins starred in "Movin On" and I really enjoyed watching this truckin show. Besides Johnny Cash sang the intro song and that made it worthwhile for me. I guess that goes a ways back for some of the members here.

Hey, I only said the truck was kinda cool, not the show! LOL I liked the 'Loose' series, Ruth Gordon was my favorite part - sassy feisty old lady! Cute as a bug.civilguy wrote:BJ & the Bear was pretty awful too-- wasn't that the whole monkey & the cool guy genre aka Philo & Clyde in "Every Which Way But Loose"?

Re: Who is this Duck
Claude Akins also played Sheriff Lobo in BJ and the Bear and they spun his character off into another series after the Bear was gone.

That's the first time I've ever heard Ruth Gordon described as "cute".Halgar wrote:civilguy wrote:... Ruth Gordon was my favorite part - sassy feisty old lady! Cute as a bug.

You know what I mean, and you probably weren't complaining when they superimposed her head on Bo Derek's body!RedScampi wrote:That's the first time I've ever heard Ruth Gordon described as "cute".Halgar wrote:civilguy wrote:... My favorite part of the 'Loose' movie was when the bikers come to the house and Granny pulls out the shotgun and starts blowing the high carumba out of everything, all the while muttering that the boys had left a poor defenseless old woman all by herself ...

Actually thought those movies were some of Clint's best, if he could of just got rid of that blonde.
