- Double deck World's car project -

Post by Asso_man! »

Hi guys,

Well nothing very special since it has already been disclosed here, but I thought I would share this one with you too. I won a 60$ beater Team Car with a world's front end (almost 2 actually) on Ebay and then saw the Composite Craft and RPM stuff shodog was selling. In the blink of an eye, my mind displayed a beautiful image that I'll now try to mimic here.

The donor car has plenty of hop-ups like white ball-raced MIP steering, Tecnacraft turnbuckles, Pure Tech battery holder, graphite rear tranny brace, Reedy Outlaw Stock motor... the diff is ultra smooth and it comes with some new spare parts including mint front truck kick-up plate, long front RPM a-arms, front schock tower, springs, tires... see pics. The pictures on the Ebay auction were very crappy (I think I've posted it somewhere here but can't remember where since it was some weeks ago) and the guy had no digital camera to send me cleaner ones. I'm now happy and think it's quite a good score compared to what you can have for the same price at Shodog's sealed paradise :D (just kidding Jim, you are the man!). All I would need to start now is a white RPM rear bulkhead  I could trade for a mint Andy's rear bulkhead... anyone?

The Ebay beater:

Say that stuff looks familiar. Looks like its going to turn out killer. I have NIP rear bulkheads if you don't find one otherwise.

thanks Jim, but it seems I already have a trade with Bscotti AKA Brian. Sometimes it's good to deal with different people 8)

The surprise is on the inside! I found a 64 pitch parts inside the Stealth when opening it to rebuild it totally, does anyone know who made this? Tricky option, isn't it? It must be very silent, though maybe less resistent for off-road...

MIP made a 64 pitch gear set for the Stealth. I have one here somewhere in a tranny I used for stock class.

I believe Thorp/Dirt Burners also made a 64p kit for the Stealth...... I know they did for the 6 gear.

^ what he said. I was mistaken.
I don't know if MIP made a set, but what I was thinking of was definately Thorp. No wonder I couldn't get any google hits for MIP 64 ptich stealth gears

I think the 6 gear set was 48 pitch, BTW.

I found my 64p Stealth gear set hiding inside a tranny from long ago. Is this what you have?

The 48p bottom gear was included for comparison.

EDIT: changed pic to a link
