Need help with my rc10 worlds build
Need help with my rc10 worlds build
Hey guys whats up? Just starting to get my parts together for next years vintage nationals ride. Looking for the rpm front shock tower, or a template that I can make my own from, rpm worlds rear bulkhead and the guide for cutting the chassis. Any help would be great.

fibrelyte makes a worlds front tower.

i have tracings of the rpm front and rear worlds towers, too. if you'd want them to make your own, pm me your address and i'll send you a copy.
i think bill cline has some rpm worlds bulkheads in his ebay store.

Re: Need help with my rc10 worlds build
ya know............ with the way your car ran at the nats, i'd be showing up with the same one. no sense in reinventing the wheel.

Re: Need help with my rc10 worlds build
yup thought about that too. but...... It is just something I want to try. I think there is room for improvement in the steering and suspension departments. Would like to have it done to test at my home track before the nats.

Re: Need help with my rc10 worlds build
i plan on running the same car i used. i didn't have a whole lot of time to play with it before the races started, being as though i only got there saturday morning. i'm pretty sure i can get it better. i know my off-road driving skills need some help though.

Re: Need help with my rc10 worlds build
your car is sweet for sure. when I drove clines car I could tell it had a bunch of potential, but I think he was using the t2 front tower. think it tips in the shocks to much at the top making the car loose, but I cant remember what tires he was using on the rear as this could have caused this problem too.

Re: Need help with my rc10 worlds build
my car handled pretty good, but landing off the jumps was a different story. it definatly needs smaller pistons and heavier oil. when i put the car togther, i didn't compensate for the different geometery of my rear suspension compared to a standard rc10. so it was a bit too soft. and at the track, i didn't have enough time to get it right.
another thing i want to do is make a new rear tower so i can lay the tops of the rear shock inward. the way i modified the 10t tower i used, it's not an option.

Re: Need help with my rc10 worlds build
the only reason i ended up using the 10t tower was because i had planned on seibenslammin' the body. then i decided not to. but, i already had a brand new rpm 10t rear bulkhead on the chassis, and didn't want to open up a new buggy one, too. so, i ended up chopping the 10t tower down to buggy height. i would've had to add a bunch of external limiters if i hadn't. the problem is there's not enough width on the tower where the shocks mount to lay them inwards. maybe a little bit, but not much. so, i'm either gonna custom make a whole new one, or i'll need to swap out the truck bulkhead in favor of one for the buggy so i can use a standard buggy tower. or maybe i'll make an rpm worlds tower. who knows. i got some time to figure it out.

Re: Need help with my rc10 worlds build
thanks. aeiou and myself spend a lot of time trying to get that old school/new school setup to pan out.
david (Asso_man) through a similar setup in one of his cars for a big race, and it seemed to work very well for him (1st place
). i just wish my car would've had a better maiden voyage. but, it'll be back to try again next year.
