Re: Lazer ZX build...
Well, I seem to be having a "retard day". The link to the belts is actually not in Japan, but here:
http://cgi.ebay.de/Zahnriemensatz-fuer-Kyosho-Lazer-Serie-Neu_W0QQitemZ360098917495QQcmdZViewItem?hash=item360098917495&_trkparms=72%3A1229%7C39%3A1%7C66%3A2%7C65%3A12%7C240%3A1318&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14
It looks as though he has 5 sets left, Now if I only spoke whatever it is he speaks . -Like I said "retard"

Re: Lazer ZX build...
I know it's not related to the lazer, but would sure appreciate if the belt specialists here could help me on this one:

Re: Lazer ZX build...
Thanks for the tip!
Anyways, its update time. The car is nearly finished, all I need to do is get a new body and undertray, and go do some testing! The body I currently have on the car is an HPI body, I bought it used (I like more "complicated" paint jobs) but know nothing else about it. I would like to reproduce it, by my time as of late is at a premium . If anyone can tell me a little about the body, I would love to hear.-Jeff

Re: Lazer ZX build...
Now I really regret I didn' pick up the 2 lazers the LHS had hanging aaound till they renovated
I love my yz-10 but the lazer looks so much better for stick packs and better protected from dust.

Yes, those are th ZX5 brackets. They are cheap, and come on a parts tree with a bunch of ball links and stuff. I believe I paid less than $5 USD .

Re: Lazer ZX build...
Great job. Looking good. The rear wing mounts do they fit directly into the holes the other ones are designed for. Also the shell is nice, still Kamtec do the ZX-S shell now as they copied my original shell so just make your chassis slightly narrower and it will fit. Also the servo is in wrong, as you appear not to have the servo plate on the chassis. Still what a job, you have made something great into something better, well done.

Re: Lazer ZX build...
Thanks. Yeah, still no reply from the Kamtec guys. I guess they don't want to sell any product-awesome business plan . I decided I didn't want to use the servo mount, so I ran the servo close to the belt and drilled and counter sunk new holes in the chassis. As for the wing mount holes, no they are not a direct fit. The bottom holes needed to be elongated slightly to fit them properly. As much as I don't want to run the body and tray yet, I seem to have no choice. We will see if I run it or not . P.S. James, I packaged up the extra set of pulleys I have, and sill be sending soon.-Jeff

Re: Lazer ZX build...
I have sent my Lazer ZXR body/undercowl to kamtec and the spurgear cover so in the future we will have the original zxr body too so you dont have to narrow the chassi to make it fit.
mvh isobarik
ps if you send him an email about the ZXR body he might get it done faster.

Re: Lazer ZX build...
I see that you have bought the same shocks as me i dont know what the name are on those i just callled them hongkong because thats where i bought them from. What are you using as a bushing on the top fastener ??? Sorry about my spelling will try to make you understand .First you have the front shock tower and then in the tower you use an screw , nut and a bushing the shock slides on to the bushing and again you use an nut to secure the hole thing. That plastic bushing what are the manufaturer of that.
