Extremely Rare Chassis - Yokomo
To so of you guys this might not be much, but this is an extremely rare chassis. This is an original DELTA chassis for the original Yokomo 834b...... I think you have to into the obscure stuff to really appreciate it, but I was totally BLOWN AWAY when I found it. I even checked with an acquatence in Japan, whom seems to be a vintage Yokomo expert, and he had never seen one and really did not know it existed. This will be built up as a true Delta Dog, along with a Delta Rear Suspension Lowering kit. Very Cool!

momo, the one you have posted from Jimmy's site is the standard Yokomo 834b with a couple of the hop up parts that came standard on the SE offered in the States by Losi. Go here and scroll down a bit, you will see Jim's and mine:

The Delta hop ups were very unique and I am told were manufacturered by Custom Works back in the day (I have not substaniated this).
Guys I have a lot going on these days with life and possibly will be moving (strong possibility). If that happens I will not have access to my stash for a while, three months or more). I will try to post pics as soon as I can, promise.
Thanks!
Jay

Thanks for the compliment. I tried to put the trickest $hit I could find on it. Now if I could just weasel those sweet aluminum arms off of Robotnik....carloco8 wrote:Its all good mrlexan. Getting organized to move is quite stressful and should be a higher priority anyway.
Losi Jr. made and sold his RPS yoke version in '86 after he won the ifmar worlds open class in '85. You and shodog got nice pieces.
Jay,
I have a zip lock bag full of new Delta parts for the 834b somewhere. Mostly running gear, ie dogbones, u joints, etc. Let me dig around a little.
I also have one of these:
Its dirty and nasty in the pic, but it cleaned up pretty good. I doubt it would be any good for actually running, but looks cool, imho.

Awesome chassis you have there Jay, hopefully you'll be able to get it built before your move. I can't wait. I'll post the Delta Yokomo info I have for you here asap maybe it'll help.
By the way in your build are you going to risk it and stick with the puny stock arms?

Cheers

Scott, Please.... that would be great. Let me know what you find. I talked to Tak and he said there were a number of other Delta parts that we made. It would be cool if I could Delta it to the max. I have a can for that motor with the sticker, no armature or end bell though. I figured I would try to rig something up, working or not.
Ed, Sorry for leaving you out of the mention
. I would love to put those arms on this build, but I am sure that they will be unobtainable by any standard.. LOL!
We'll see how things go with my time. Things are "stuck" at the moment, it is complicated, trust me on this! I still have all my JRX2 stuff spread out everywhere. Got some stuff coming from Jim and was hoping to find some RPM JRX2 parts before I put it all away or sell the left overs. I have to work this weekend. Then the following weekend, I am working on the DEAL OF THE CENTURY! MUUUAAAHHHHAAAAHHHAAAAHAAAA (evil laughter) back at all of you!

Delta
Hi Jay,
Did you get through to Delta then? Can they help you out with parts?
I emailed a couple of times and got no reply
, it must be good living in the states and being able to just pick up the phone and call the old manufacturers.
