My Wild One finished (finally)

Post by Rizzo »

This is my finally finished Wild one. It will be raced in the up coming Sydney Vintage meet, I have transplanted the entire rear end from a RE RE frog into the Wild one, making it very reliable.
I would have had better actin pics but my 8 year old son & I kept argueing over who was going to drive & who was taking pics.
enjoy

Tell your son he makes nice pics :!:

Could you show a couple pics of how you fitted the frog rear-end?

Chassis pics please sir? I would like to see how you modified the chassis/trans to use the Brat trans. I love hybrids. Nice job!
I am not here cause I am playing photographer and on my mountain bike.

Awesome car, with the Wild Willy M38 and maybe the Avante, that's one of the very few Tamiya cars I would not mind to own and your example is really stunning! Kudoz!

heres some pics of the gearbox conversion. I just turned the standard red Wild one mounts upside down, then the lower Wild One alloy mount mounted perfectly to the frog gearbox. It literally took 10 minutes to fit. It's like it was made for it.

That is really great. Very nice buggy and fantastic info to have. The WO gearbox was always a disappointment to my cousin who had one bitd. I think it's too late to call him to see if it's still in his parent's basement!!

That is a very cool looking Wild One! I have been looking for a set of those chrome wheels off and on for a few years. Those are "Box art" Rough Rider wheels correct? All I usually find is the 1.5 inch version that fits Grasshopper wheels. Anyone know where I could find a set? Please?

Some more action pics, this is quickly becoming my favourite car. I love the realism. Can't wait to get electrics in all 3 of my sand scorchers. The local beach will look like a baja race!

I really like the picture of the Wild one and the Bug. you should add the stinger pipe from the bug to the Wildone that would really finish it off it looks so real in that picture it needs exhaust
