Kyosho PRO-X Nip bodyshell
Re: Kyosho PRO-X Nip bodyshell
Hey there CATS,
I've recently aquired a Kyosho Pro X, it seen some action, but slowly I'm gathering new parts together for a rebulid to its former glory...
You mentioned previously that you'd found a Pro X body shell, is it still for sale? also do you think the model shop in question has any other parts still on the shelves??
Any help on this hunt for new parts would be appreciated...
thanks
Jim

Re: Kyosho PRO-X Nip bodyshell
You guys need to take your wants/meeds/requests/sales to the Buy Sell Trade Forum. Jimarea51 is a new user and has not met the requirements for gaining access to that thread, but yet this thread is turning into a WANTED thread (no offense Jimarea51, but rules are rules).
I am not here cause I am playing photographer and on my mountain bike.

FYI: KYOW5106 is the PN for the new shock plastic pieces (ZX-5, RB-5) that will work with the plastic or team shocks on the Pro-X. Available at Amainhobbies for $5.

Nice Nice, brings back memories of Bob Gammon in Team Kyosho throwing this buggy in a ditch on a very wet day at the Nationals, and basically dropping Kyosho like a stone and driving for Associated for the worlds as it was far superior.
This car looked stunning, but that was all, it looked great, but drove very badly. The design of the gearbox was flawed and couldnt handle serious power before over load and meltdown. Pity, as it looked so good.

Re: Kyosho PRO-X Nip bodyshell
The only flaw I remem a clubmember at our track complaining over were the little lastic balls that fitted over the hingepin ends: they would always break in the rear toe-in block. He was racing stock though, so no real overload on the geartrain there.
