Re: Kyosho America "Yard Sale"
Lake Forest is about 35-45 minutes from my house. My son has a soccer game from 8-9 am, then I am headed out toward that area for a birthday party for my dad scheduled for 1pm
.... Im sure I can go by the store and check stuff out, if I can convince my wife...
For the most part, other then a Kyosho Raider that my friend had 20 years ago, most Kyosho stuff to me is ????

i have an xfactor, it was a FUN truck before i yanked the axles off it. i can imagine the much sturdier kyoshos being a hoot.
They had 2 Mad Forces when I got there at 11am.

They did not have separate parts available, it was a "Complete Kyosho kits" and "Orion electrics" sale

I asked the Orion guy, not that model, but they had LOTS of other motors, IE; Dragon Modifieds
I asked the Kyosho guy about the Mag Mayhems, he knew what they are, he said they are still available through normal channels, so no... (In fact, I didnt see ANY Kyosho parts, or motors)

Re: Kyosho America "Yard Sale"
Yeah no parts at all except for recent orion nitro engines. There were cheap Mini-Z, boats, kits, ready-sets and airplanes. They only had Peak motors which were 5 bucks except for the Vantage which were $10. YOu could get a Lazer ZX-5 for $150 and a ready set for $125. They confiscated the price list when you left.
They had a few battery packs but those were gone within minutes. They also had T-shirts, tuned pipes, small brushless airplane escs + motors.

Re: Kyosho America "Yard Sale"
I got out with the price list....
I got my 4th R/C EVER!!!!
1987 (Tamiya Blackfoot)
1989 (RC12L/Fiberglass)
2007 (87' RC12L Shelfer in posts)
2008...
Kyosho Half 8 Mini Inferno 09 Readyset
"my first nitro"
I hope I dont burn it up.... I guess I need to run 20% and follow the break in instructions exact. I don't plan to hop it up beyond the brake kit... This one is to learn nitro. I have already read not to go off head temp, but rather the sound and smoke trail. This unit should be tuned for RPM performance, and not low end...???
