=6010 based off 1:1 chassis design?=

just curious, is the rc10 protech 1 body based of (loosely or whatever) a fullsize buggy chassis? of course it would be from the late 70's/early 80's. i just cant seem to find anything that really looks close. so far a class 9 chenowth is the closest i can find, and it aint quite the same.

any pics?

btw, it would REALLY help me out of you guys posted pics of chassis designs that can be interpreted to a 1/10 scale tube chassis under the protech 1 body.

Do a search for Funco Wampuskitty. The first buggy to get away from the VW based front suspension and go "Associated Style".

didnt somebody post a pic of the ad with jay halsey standing in front of a rc10 that was blown-up to look like a fullsize?

i know i've seen that ad with halsey in front of the 1:1 looking rc10 somewhere online...

PLEASE, if anybody has it scanned could ya post it? i've googled just about every combo i can think of... found the mention of the ad, but never the ad itself.

(i havent looked through every image in our scan section, so if its in there i apologize...)

Don't you have a 6011 box to look at??

i have a 6010 box. but to my knowledge the image i want only existed as a spread ad in a mag.

its got halsey in a race suit holding the trophy, with a trophy girl next to him and some interviewer dude. the rc10 is behind them all enlarged to look like a real car, just like he won a 1:1 race.

I have that ad at home. I'll scan it in tonight for you if I get a minute in front of the computer. IIRC, the car was white with red and blue stripes.

It's also on the CE box. Looks kind of "photoshoppy". Sounds like Doug's on the task for the ad.

It wasn't only on the 6010 box, it was a lot of Associated boxes up to the mid 90's. My first couple of GT boxes had it on them, and I think it was on my B2 box too.

Here's a pic I just took of my 6010 box. Unless your looking for a different pic?
