The incomplete car is a Lazer Alpha, and the other is a Raider. The Alpha is a sport version of the popular lazer series. I might be wrong, but I believe it came out a few years after the ZX-R. I am currently restoring a ZX as a runner, and have a near complete Alpha that I thought I could use some of the parts from. After reviewing the cars, I saw that there is little in common with them other than the name and basic configuration.-Jeff
The diff's are pretty much the only valuable part if you like geardiffs
Dogbones and rear axles with the hexes may come handy also to replace the conic axles on an old optima to the crosspin style.
The shocks on the side do look better than the original black plastic ones.
Edit: if the body is any good that's certainly worth trying to sell.
YES! The axles! I thought I might use the cross pin style axles with the hexes on my runner. I might post a pic of the body I have on no my Alpha as it does'nt look like the alpha body on the instruction manual. Is the Lazer 2000 the US version of the Alpha? As it may be that body I have.-Jeff
Decisions decisions, they are $22 posted, but are the bits any use yo me I ask myself.
Also on another tack I have been offered this in a trade, but neither of us have any idea of value, I reckon it's Kyosho again from shocks.
Landjump maybe, it's even too early for an old man like me.
timbo, I don't think that is a true Landjump. By the looks of the plastic and the shocks, I am pretty sure it is a Thunder Tiger Silver Fox..... just a knock off the LJ.
I am not here cause I am playing photographer and on my mountain bike. www.gojammedia.com
The cage looks like it had some home-mods to it: I can't imagine those horizontal bars were soldered sticking out on the side on a commercialised product.
Ok so that got your attention. I dont have a manual to check part numbers but Im after new ball sockets for cars like the Optima, Ultima etc...Can you tell me if these are the right part#

The newer Kyosho ball cups you listed are the same size as the old cups, but have a matte finish instead of a gloss finish as on the Optima/Ultima/Lazer series of cars. As for the Springs, I just tried my ZX5 FS springs (yellow orange if you must...
I'm rebuilding a Nitro USA-1, did some research to beef up the diffs and came up with the essentials (BSW1, BSW2, and BS41)
My question is, being that I couldn't exactly find the best description online on how to properly build the diff with...

Thanks for all the help and info! I'll have to figure out which weight oil to use for the diffs. And I guess I should start a build thread for my first one on the forum! Kinda still up in the air as far as what I'd like to do with the truck, still...
I just got this Kyosho Slingshot, and I was wondering what the best shell would be for it?
I was thinking about some McAllister Bodies, some seem to fit nicely like the Ol Smokey...

Hey Kyosho Triumph guys, I just picked up a project Triumph that needs a lot of help. Anyone have a spare manual or willing to run me off a copy of your assembly manual?
Thanks

I finally killed the rear belt on my Slingshot today. I've found one on the bay for way more than I would like to pay. Does anyone have any info on another that will fit from either another Kyosho car or perhaps another manufacturer.

On another note, I've had issues with small rocks getting jammed in the belts, I ordered a CW Dominator chassis cover and received it today. With a bit of trimming, it fits the slingshot nicely, to include the radio gear, and should reduce the...

Hi Jeff,
Yes, I was thinking of networking them directly with a cross over cable and enabling file sharing.
There is always more than one way to get the same out come with computers.
1. Has anyone put together a hardware list required for each buggy that was released?
2. What are the required hinge pin lengths required for each buggy that was released?
3. Is there an available source for...

And just a heads up. The RCScrews rc10 screw set and the titanium set you'll find online are not correct for the rc10 cars. I bought them both and can guarantee neither have all the right screws needed.
