Haha, exactly what I want as well.

This will have to do until the above is available:

I don't know if Tamiya is still producing the F-150, but I have seen them in the LHS as recently as this spring. There were one or two on the wall back then, but I haven't been looking for them the last couple times I was there.

We had a Slash class at the track this past week and it was just a blast-- rubbing fenders over jumps, powersliding thru turns.... we were chuckling the whole race. At least two more guys should have them next week; it's going to be a great class.
There's been tons of talk about the AE truck-- from 1/18 to 1/8 to 4wd and on and on- and I've seen the Losi truck on the track. Unless the AE truck has full bumpers and body like the Slash I don't think it will have the same realism and "fun" factor. It will surely perform better, but that's not what is making us giggle like school girls....
The preceding contained opinions, beliefs and thoughts that all may not agree with. No offense was intended at any point. Carry on.

+1...hope AE isn't gonna hold off til winter to get one into the production line. If I had to pick between traxxas and AE...AE would be the one to choose for me just for the fact I haven't ever had a bad associated experience...traxxas on the other hand with their plastic carbs

I agree, but the AE CORR truck was only a rumor when the Slash was available. I couldn't hold out since there wasn't any proof that Associated was coming out with one. I'll end up getting the AE truck too, but the Traxxas truck really is pretty nice and from the punishment I've seen people put them through on youtube. They are REALLY tough!

Yep, the 'punishment' videos are getting the point across that its a tuff truck and now they are showing up used on the traxxas forums for sale and for trade so it won't be long til I have to put one to the test myself...unless the slayer comes in any sooner

I don't know if I can justify a slayer. Yeah it is cool and all. But throw in a few days more lunch money and I could get a Revo. I'd rather have a Revo at this point. But the slayer would be cool if I already had a Revo.

By all means, if your LHS has one in stock, buy it from them instead....

I've always loved that truck. I guess I need to break down and buy one.

Anyone know when they will release pics? I was hoping maybe that after this weekend's CORR event in Chula Vista, maybe they would..... that didn't happen. I WANNA SEE, I WANNA SEE.

I also called Thundertech and he is saying that pre-orders will be shipped at the end of August/beginning of Sept..... but as much as love the look and am hopeful, the track record of delays leads me to believe this might again be a yet another promise date that won't hold true. Too bad, they couldn't have been first to the market, he could have taken a bite out of the Traxxas success (I am not knocking them).
I am not here cause I am playing photographer and on my mountain bike.

There is some teasing on the AE site, its the first picture with the Red Bull helmet and the grandstands. A legend of "Stop dreaming, start driving" will pop up. Click on it and it talks a lot about CORR trucks. Check back soon it teases. Also Rick Hohwart has been teasing on a thread on RCTech. Something is coming apparently.

Hopefully it won't take as long as their 4wd buggy!
