Post by AYKBOBCAT »

ANy mac users here? I am sick of getting up at night to bid. What would be a good simple free software to bet for me?

Thanks for any help...

say the current bid is at $2.00 enter in the maximum you are willing to pay, say $10.00. If somebody comes along and bids on it, eBay will bid for you automatically up until it hits your max amount.

Only draw back is if multiple people do this, it gets up there in price. But no more than what you had entered.

Ok yeah I understand what you mean and this is the most honnest way of doing it but sometimes you have no other choices but to bid at the end. Otherwise some #$%%?$% people start bidding a week before and get crazy untill they outbid you. They rarely win and the end result is that the item is overpriced...

use auctionsniper, its a online service that you dont need to dl any kind of application for. you gotta pay to use it, but its pretty dang cool, shodog and a couple other guys referred me to it awhile back. it's super nice for those times when you wont be around to bid when an auction gets close to ending. (and we all know thats how it's done nowadays...)

i use macs too, and i TRIED a sniping application (silent sniper) and had NOTHING but errors with it. lemme tell ya, it really really sucks to fiind out that you could have won an auction on something you really really wanted but the program you were using or your network borked and the bids didnt get placed...

Hoopty is right, auctionsniper.com is the way to go, you enter your bid and it will automatically place it for you just seconds before the auction closes. If you dio sign up, make sure you mention Hoopty's e-mail addy so that he can get some freebie snipes

Sure I'll do it. Is it safe though? I have to give them my ebay password... I feel weird about that.
