tech question on tamiya rims for rc10
hi guys,
i'm currently rebuilding a halsey rc10. today i put the front black proline wheels on.
since i also have the black rear rims for the sand scorcher/frog, i wanted to put them on the rear axles.
i used the crp adapters
http://cgi.ebay.com/Wheel-Adapters-Blackfoot-to-Associated-RC10-CRP-1560_W0QQitemZ250190411289QQihZ015QQcategoryZ34061QQrdZ1QQssPageNameZWD1VQQcmdZViewItemQQ_trksidZp1638Q2em118Q2el1247
unfortunately i had to learn that the stock rc10 rear axles are way too short for that type of rims. i can't even mount the nut. i assume crp knew of that problem otherwise these adapters were useless, so there must be a way to mount tamiya wheels. what am i doing wrong, or what axles do i need to make these fit
thanks
regards volker

i'd guess you probably need a pair of those shanked wheel nuts to be able to make up the difference.

first off, the wheel nuts in this link are just for reference. they will NOT work for your application. i just want to make that clear.
this is more or less what your gonna need. i did some searching, but i couldn't find any that will work for ya. the ones that A&L had back in the day for their monster truck wheels might work.

bill......... ya beat me to it.
if the ones you have fit in a tamiya rim, and screw on to an rc10 rear axle, they should work for him.
