Kyosho Honda NSR 500

Post by Dangeruss »

In 1988 Kyosho debuted a new model into their range of cars, trucks, and buggies, the 1/8 electric powered Honda NSR 500 motorcycle. Taking their attention to detail on two wheels the NSR featured an all plastic construction split clamshell chassis and highly decaled plastic body with lifelike rider in an aggressive racing position. An internally sprung friction dampened front fork smoothed out the bumps and provided the necessary steering to get the bike around a track or parking lot while a coilover friction dampened rear mono shock attached to the double sided swing arm finished out the suspension. A bottom loading inline mounted battery, realistic final drive chain with pinion and spur primary drive gears, directional spoke wheels, rubber tires, and a Le Mans DM20 motor were all included in the unassembled kit, sold less the recommended RS-M combination micro speed controller/receiver:
