Spacers in!
Decided to restore a few decals that have some road rash. Luckily, I have some Parma Goodwrench decals in the stash.
Off with the old.

Re: Jrx Pro of my youth
I couldn't get a matching set of grey hard ano shock bodies together, so I'm going with black instead.
Twisters motor installed as a place holder.
Found a spur gear adapter from my OG car and installed a new Kimbrough (rip) spur gear.

Re: Jrx Pro of my youth
I've always been a "race" type builder, and the HPI and Trinity wheels just never did it for me in that respect. That's not an easy car to match/contrast. If it were me and I had some natural losi logo wheels I'd go with that. Builds have been great, keep them coming!

Re: Jrx Pro of my youth
I have natural logo fronts, but not rears. Any I find are a bit pricey for this project. I have another wheel set inbound that may work. My color choice back in the day is cramping my style these days.

Rear HPI white stars fresh off the mail truck.
Hmmm...
Some beat chrome prolines for mockup.
Beat white prolines. These may be what I had on the buggy originally.
I have another set of wheels coming this weekend that will be considered before deciding.

The black super stars look the best. But that's just my opinion, and those are like belly buttons....
Hope you're doin' something fun.

I'm kinda liking the chrome, too.
Appreciate the comment. I'm not a huge fan of dish wheels on old Losi buggies.
I grabbed some Ultra Hive motor decals and a few crusty stock motors and did a quick refresh.
Nekkid
Swapped out the Twisters and finished up the motor plate details.

Looking really good. That motor plate looks to have a slight bend in it when looking from the rear. You should be able to bend it back straight pretty easily.
That motor looks right at home. Black wheels always look great to me.

I'll break out the dead blow hammer and persuade it back in line.

Fresh off the mail truck, revision b. I think I like it.
It reminds me of a pshop I found in my internet travels....

The chrome 5 stars do look great. I think you found your look.
