Where have I been that I'm just now discovering this thread? Anywho, there are some quality bottom of the barrel heaps in here. I applaud you fellas just for having the stomach to operate these piles
And well done Frankentruck for taking charge on the POS of the month.
That Hornet got my vote , the affordable dream literally held together with hope and cable ties.
If a jobs not worth doing then its certainly not worth doing well.
A problem shared is a problem halved but an advantage shared is no advantage at all.
Entry post updated with run video link. I tried getting some street run footage but it spins the tires as more throttle is applied. It probably needs more weight over the rear wheels.

Frankentruck, I like that you've done this. It's nice to see the flip side of the amazing builds we see elsewhere on the site. I can tell these are all cherished runners, and in some ways they embody what I like most about the hobby. Run what ya brung, it just needs to get around the track/driveway/vacant lot.
I had to vote for the truck with a servo mount for a bulkhead. It's so off the wall that it works just fine.
Oops, okay got it! Still chasing in second then. I just found the end date on the top of the poll. Zed still leading the beat down over the other beaters!

I'm just considering it winning by not winning at this point. I guess this JRX wasn't as bad as I thought lol
I don't think it's that your buggy isn't a total POS , it's probably still a better buggy than a brand new Hornet. From personal Hornet experience, Tamiya seems to add in intentionally quirky design flaws (the steering, the suspension, the ABS plastic construction...) that give many of them a head start in the POS category. Zed has done a fine job keeping his held together well enough to stay as a runner. That's tough to beat.

That's the real trick with Tamiyas. They look neat but drive like crap.

Can even get votes in a BOTM to save my life but apparently I'm pretty good at this "having a crap car" thing. I love the vibe of your ORV.
Its all good Zed! I just like to see it as the cars in this thread live crazier lives than many of their nicer siblings. I definitely feel that RogueIV made a solid point also about tamiya vehicles, bitd they were treated more like traxxas and arrma cars are today.
