My LHS is talking about making this a spec class. Looks ok, just huge and lots of wasted space. might be cool w/ a brushless.

RCChick-
I think it required too much work to make the stampede work like a true 2wd truck. Yea, its like Todd said. The other Traxxas kits were much better prior to the Rustler/Stampede series.

My friend just got given a Stampede, but its primarily going to be a basher. I have no great expectations. Its a toy.

x2. its a step in a good direction for more scale stuff, but it just looks like they just kinda threw together some sorta extended a rustler or something. i'm digging the bodies... i might have to extend one of my old gt's.

it probably performs a ton better than the thundertech corr truck, but i would still pick the thundertech on looks and the cool factor of having a solid rear and a waaaay better looking chassis underneath the lid.

i agree with the other jason, for the price of that splash you coulda drove halfway up to waterbury or bought a 17.5 brushless setup... ;)

they are doing spec classes at my local track. 9 showed up and ran this past saturday. stock motor/speedo/tires/body rule, can change the radio and allegedly some suspension parts can be replaced (ie...one guy had CF shock towers & turnbuckles)

Probably going to be somewhere in the $500 range I would guess. I would rather see an electric 4wd corr truck

How come none of us guessed that was going to happen given Traxsas's affinity to nitro power :? That big and 50mph+ sounds like a proper tool to me 8)

I'm sure since the E-revo is out and people have been converting gas revos to electric for awhile now that it wouldn't be too hard to get your electric 4wd slayer. It is a cool lookin truck...even under the lid...expecially for a traxxas. my guess is its gonna be in the $400 range. Then they will make a platinum edition  . Got to give traxxas credit for being able to offer a bunch of different models of the same truck.

Not to offend anyone whom likes Traxxas, but we all know the reputation they have, with a few exceptions of course. But it is a bit scary how much we are talking about them lately....... hey, I have a Slash too, so I am not one to talk, so I will shut my trap now. :)

OK, you got my attention. I like it.

I have several and have had several nitro Traxxas vehicles over the years and I can't complain with their durability considering what I do to them    .

I'll take one WITHOUT the electronics please Traxxas...

An insider friend of mine says your close. $450 is going to be a close figure. What ever it is, it should be public any time. Slated to be released at the end of the month.

My LHS had one NIP clear unpainted body..... it was spoken for, otherwise I would have walked out with it last night. I had them order me two. If anyone ordered a new body from Tower, I imagine that you have or should be getting them.
