Jrx Pro of my youth
Along with the Jrxt body that I rescued from my folks' house, a Jrx Pro body returned home.
The original chassis was given to another family member, so I'll have to build up a new chassis to sit under the body.
I've had this basket case, mismatched buggy in storage for many years. Much like the Jrx2 I just finished, this buggy may have been thrown together to appear complete when sold on Ebay.
A Pro SE rear tower, RC10 knuckles, shocks mounted incorrectly, Junior 2 bushings, beatup screws
...
The underside is in great shape.

That’s a nice looking chassis! No servo saver cutout, Jrx2 steering and the mini bumper..Looks like a Proformance upgrade with some more upgrades.

Re: Jrx Pro of my youth
I 2nd this, even has the shocks mounted forward of the shock tower like the Proformanance (sic) kit.BattleTrak wrote: ↑Sun Mar 02, 2025 10:55 pm That’s a nice looking chassis! No servo saver cutout, Jrx2 steering and the mini bumper..Looks like a Proformance upgrade with some more upgrades.
Some things were swapped though, like the rear tower, but stuff like that happened all the time with the JRX series, all kinds of weird combos.
The motor plate and drag link also look like the later dark anodizing found on the Pro SE and LXT. What the stamping on the back of the motorplate? "JRX2" or "Team Losi Performance?"
Consistency is the key I keep misplacing.

I agree - someone threw a Proformanananance kit at whatever this pile of parts was originally.BattleTrak wrote: ↑Sun Mar 02, 2025 10:55 pm That’s a nice looking chassis! No servo saver cutout, Jrx2 steering and the mini bumper..Looks like a Proformance upgrade with some more upgrades.
Yup, later dark motor plate and drag link.
All plastics other than the front arms and ball cups are in nearly perfect shape. Everthing cleaned up and checked.
Dug good front arms out of the stash.
Chassis touched up with a fine paint pen.
And the piece de resistance - preteen paintjob of Earnhardt livery with an early 90's metallic green twist.

Re: Jrx Pro of my youth
Thanks! I'm patting 12 year old me on the back.

Had a few minutes at the bench today.
Bulkheads mounted with a new bumper.
New steering posts.
I found a correct "wide" steering rack in the parts stash and mounted the battery holder. Gearbox mounted.
New 1.2 hard anodized rear shock bodies. I'll need to source the correct shafts and some matching front .9 bodies.
All of the motor guards in my stash are beat, so I had to get creative. I'm not quite done with it yet.

I'm 99% sure I have some new out of package .9 fronts on the way to me if you haven't found them soon-

Re: Jrx Pro of my youth
I'm waiting on the .9 bodies to arrive and I need to figure out the turnbuckles, so at a stopping point for now.
Buffed the body a bit to see how it will look.
And thinking about wheels....

I totally forgot to put the spacers inBattleTrak wrote: ↑Sun Mar 16, 2025 10:18 pm Looking good! Did you put the spacers under the steering posts?

I'll have to find them on the bench!
