RC10GT Re Release Radio Suggestions
RC10GT Re Release Radio Suggestions
Just ordered the RC10GT Re Release kit. Do you guys have any suggestions for a reliable, inexpensive radio for it? I have been out of the game for a long time so I don't have a sense for what is on the market. Someone at a local hobby shop recommended this: https://www.amainhobbies.com/traxxas-tqi-2.4ghz-2channel-radio-system-w-tsm-micro-receiver-tra6509r/p453835?gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAiAw5W-BhAhEiwApv4goPVbgKD6AaYpMOa-G5ZnA1fGNUFPWFOePNF47_SY0FyPF_u5u_NRDxoCssQQAvD_BwE . Any info would be appreciated. Thanks!

Re: RC10GT Re Release Radio Suggestions
If you want inexpensive, get a new takeout RTR transmitter and receiver off Ebay. Some can be had for ~$30.
I recently got a RC4WD transmitter, receiver, esc, servo, and motor for $60.

Always looking for new and interesting ways to waste money.

Re: RC10GT Re Release Radio Suggestions
I still use my RadioLink(s) for everything. It isn't the greatest radio on earth, but I would run it over that Traxxas RTR Rx any day of the week.

I build RCs like people would have done back in the '90s ..................................... if they had 3D printers.

Re: RC10GT Re Release Radio Suggestions
Flysky GT3B. There are MUCH nicer radios out there, but this one is cheap and reliable. Bump up to the GT3C if you prefer.
The Futaba 3PV is also an excellent budget radio if you are ok with spending the extra cash.

Re: RC10GT Re Release Radio Suggestions
Ok cool. I was kind of surprised to hear Traxxas recommended. Back in the day their products were not terribly well regarded but things can change in 30 years I guess. I just really want something reliable. I am nervous about nitro runaways: (Yeah I guess I was hoping for something around $100. I will check out the Flysky and Futaba. The Futaba stuff was great back in the 90s. Thanks for the info guys:)
