The Traxxas esc is a bit too new, but being sealed I figured it may be good to have for a future Traxxas build.
The aluminum end Trinity motor is an actual new (with box, container, paperwork) beauty. I've been after a pink label for awhile.

The XL-1 is listed in the Bullet 1990 parts list, so it is good for really any of the earlier Traxxi.
I build RCs like people would have done back in the '90s ..................................... if they had 3D printers.

Does it say which model it is? Just curious what sort of brushed power house you got.

That's a surprise. It seems newer. Thanks for the info.
The cooling fins on the actual unit are blue (the box art shows black) which is a slight disappointment. I prefer the black. Probably a running change. I think this actual unit was manufactured later on.

Plus the scribbly connected letters "TRAXXAS" labeling. Not sure when they switched to that "logo".Lavigna wrote: ↑Tue Feb 11, 2025 5:53 pmThat's a surprise. It seems newer. Thanks for the info.

Must have been prior to 1990, my TRX-T manual is dated 1990 and has the same logo.

For the logo that came on the car/truck manuals, it looks like '93 was the transition year. Everything in '92 had the old log, everything in '94 had the new, with '93 having a mix.
EDIT: R6cowboy is correct. The parts manual for the TRX-T 1990 shows the new logo, although the box art is the old logo.

Re: So what did you get in the post today ???
I know this isn't exactly a Nuclear Assault motor
but I have a small collection of M&Y motors and I've never seen an adjustable timing, ball bearing, rebuildable closed-ish endbell motor (big ports in the sides). It checked the weirdo boxes for me. I had to replace the brushes and wires to make it run. it's definitely more of a 'water balloon' assault than Lavigna's Trinity Nuclear Assault.
Also got a 2 pound delivery. Apparently they are heavier than they look.

Re: So what did you get in the post today ???
Just noticed the LS-II (intro'd 1993) had the old logo and the SRT (intro'd 1994) had the new. The TRX-T manual was misleading, can't be correct.morrisey0 wrote: ↑Tue Feb 11, 2025 6:35 pm For the logo that came on the car/truck manuals, it looks like '93 was the transition year. Not to beat a dead horse.....BUT....Believe the below is the OG XL-1 "TRAXXAS". That's lifted from a TRX-1 kit insert. That particular image is from a battery charger though......the XL-1 is too washed out to see clearly..
Hope you're doin' something fun.

Another cheap Force engine. This time a .15, which is pretty much the same as the .12
Not sure which one to run in the truck.....
