Dusted these guys off, Parma Ski Tiger with a modern hardware set up, and my old H&M No Step 2 P mono race boat. Trying to encourage myself to do a little boating in the near future.

Very cool! There is a small but healthy RC boat racing group near me. Do you race?

Re: So, what did you do RC today?
Unexpected home remodel project is really interrupting RC bench time (& budget) the last couple weeks.
But still, taking small bites at projects and a few pics. (posting from my Iphone and the preview pics are all rotated screwy)
First is one for the married guys. I’m using the wood stove in the living room to help power-cure lexan paint between coats. (150F stove top temp, not melting)
The dirtmasters for my nephews are now painted and decaled. The DM wings cracked in the corners just cutting them out; I had extra Marwan Ultima blem wings that I trimmed and painted also.
And one shot of Cougar 2 Works. Ended up using the 3 hole shock pistons instead of vari-click style. Have an 87T spur gear from Kimbrough. Need to address paint and electrical next.

Re: So, what did you do RC today?
Thanks! I don’t race anymore, but did quite a bit in the 90s to early 2000s. Even had my name and mug shots in RC Boat Modeler and Marine modeling magazines a few times. I also started and ran a small fast electric boat club local to me back in those days.
Life and kids came along I got out of it probably 20 years ago. Sadly, marine and wheeled rc racing has been dead here for quite a while. I’d love to get my son involved in more than just bashing, but we would need to travel to race, and I wouldn’t even know where to try and go.

Finished up my "Spare Parts" Stampede.
I've got ~$90 in it, with the wheels/tires and body accounting for ~$60 of that. A new Spektrum esc (on sale) and Amazon servo account for about half of the remainder.

I love that you have an arrma motor in your traxxas. I want to put all used arrma stuff in my stampede eventually.juicedcoupe wrote: ↑Sun Feb 02, 2025 8:33 pm Finished up my "Spare Parts" Stampede.

Re: So, what did you do RC today?
My wife's Stampede and my ECX Torment both have the red Arrma (Hobbywing 1040) esc's in them.
The mounting holes are the correct width and they are extremely reliable, like most Hobbywing items.

And my contribution for the day…Hope you guys are ok with my boat posts!?!?
Working on the Ski Tiger, glued in the transom doubler, got the radio and motor mounts in, build up an end supported stuffing tube and installed it and plasti welded the hull and deck together. First time using Plastruct plastic welder and it works exceptionally well! Much safer than hot ca glue on this old plastic!

Couldn't find the wings that came with the Leadfinger Retro body for my Micro B so I made my own out of scrap lexan.
Consistency is the key I keep misplacing.
