I was playing with the idea of making a one-way spool to replace the front diff but I will need a rotary table to drill holes radially to mount the crown gear. I ended up going with the one-way driveshaft due to having the materials and equipment on hand.

Gotta love a custom Kydex bumper!
Thanks. I reckon it looks pretty damn good.

Too bad it'll get used.
The final tuning option I wanted to try is a one-way main driveshaft. All the parts are in this picture. The short front steel piece still needs to be hardened.1.jpg
Assembled and side by side with the full-time 4WD shaft.

Fitted into the Coyote in this picture. Very smooth. I can swap from full-time to part-time drive in less than ten minutes. Absolutely chuffed.

It'll be interesting to try it out on a high grip track.
Love the one way , been thinking of this for my hotshot for some time .
From memory, at least a couple of companies made one-way shafts for the Hotshot. One was Japanese and came as a complete shaft. The other was marketed by Dynamite and was called a torque splitter which was just the housing and bearings. I'm pretty sure with that one you used the Hotshot's stock driveshaft which you had to cut yourself.
Did SRM make one as well?
Hot Trick made one-way front wheel hubs with matching stub axles for the Hotshot.
