Imo it will simply be a color variation. It would be nuts for them to create something like a graphite and only sell it at one race and only to entrants. It would need to be something low volume and easy with some cool box art. They wouldn't ruin an entire line of product for one events worth of sales.

Re: for the west coasters- Team Associated Vintage Championships in Vegas Oct 2025

Would someone be able to shed some light? I've not raced a vintage race before. Most races may be different, but what are the stipulations with mods and or modern upgrades? Do they just base what class you run off of what OG chassis it is? And everything else is cool to run, ie big bores, modern tires/wheels, electronics? I'd love to run one of my Ayk cars buuuuut, i think the drivetrain would explode under a brushless motor.
TIA

The Vegas race is still way up in the air, rules and layout are still being discussed from my understanding. The only thing locked in is the place, date, and insane track fees lol

Awesome. Thanks for the info Jeff! Yeah, the registration fee is no-joke. But I see it as supporting the hobby. (I hope.)
Should be fun!

Would you be able to run a re-release version of a 1989 car and also wondering about upgraded components?

They are the same, they contacted John Weston at IconicRC and asked to use them. Likely helped as Associateds Craig Drescher races at every IconicRC vintage event.
