As it pertains to ClodTalk, it used to be it's own separate forum but went dormant many years ago. Plus something like 80% of images in posts no longer worked any longer either. It became a major waste of time and resources to continue maintaining it for no real reason, so the decision was made to close it down for good, and incorporate the domain name into the board here. This way it would alleviate the problem, while allowing ClodTalk to continue on in at least some capacity.![]()

Re: Bored? Come To The Chit / Chat Thread
I started looking through the box of my Kyosho WaveChopper, and found the speed controller. Due to it's age, I am not sure if it works so I looked up and found a wiring diagram in case I needed to troubleshoot it in the future. I may use the same type on my dragster in the near future, so it may help there also. I thought I would post it here in case it could help anyone else in the future.

I build RCs like people would have done back in the '90s ..................................... if they had 3D printers.

I think that’s how the long skinny pedal in my full size truck works as well

Who do you race for ?
Me……. I race for me.
That’s impossible, I was told you need a sponsor to race.

Anybody know if the RCD/Hitec Shredder receiver housing is lexan or hard clear plastic? (Not the storage/display case).
Hope you're doin' something fun.

My couple appear to be hard plastic, from memory.... will grab them out tonight and confirm, if someone else doesn't beat me to it.

That's enough for me. Thank you. No need to go digging. The more I look at the pictures I've found, here and elsewhere, it appears that the case is near Identical to the Dynamite Micro Pro, which is red hard plastic. The relief/contour/case detail has crisp sharp lines. Hard to achieve that with lexan.Incredible_Serious wrote: ↑Sun Jan 19, 2025 6:30 pmMy couple appear to be hard plastic, from memory.... will grab them out tonight and confirm, if someone else doesn't beat me to it.

I have several of both. Other than the color and decals, they are identical.

Re: Bored? Come To The Chit / Chat Thread
Ok so I might not have the terminology correct but here goes.
In my understanding if you connect 2 2s batteries together you get a 4s power supply. So this would be a parallel connection right? Is there a way to connect 2 2s batteries together so that they remain 2s batteries ( in series) and don’t double to 4s?
Am I crazy?

Two 2S batteries in parallel gives you a 2S pack with double capacity.

Re: Bored? Come To The Chit / Chat Thread
Series = in line ( + to -, + to -) = double battery power, no increase in capacity. This is how all battery packs are assembled to get the battery to it's target voltage/amperage for its application. Smaller cells can discharge their energy faster than one large cell, they also charge faster.
Parallel = side by side ( + to +, - to - ) = same battery power, double capacity. Think of this as having two buckets, each bucket holds the same amount, but you can carry twice as much.

Thank you very much. I am just trying to figure out how to run 2 shorty 2s batteries in one of my trucks and not make it 4s but keep it 2 s and increase the capacity. I am going to make a parallel adapter or just buy one and see how it works.

Re: Bored? Come To The Chit / Chat Thread
Something to keep in mind when doing this is that you need two identical batteries. Do Not use different sized cells or capacity batteries, unless you like smoke and flames.Brendan2904 wrote: ↑Fri Jan 31, 2025 11:00 am
