Serpent F190 - 1/8th Scale Modern F1

Post by Lavigna »

I recently got this kit. I think it's a great looking car and unique in this scale. It's 4WD, which is one aspect I don't love as it's not true to the real cars, but I can understand why it's necessary if you want a competetive car.

The build is high quality, but let down by a few design flaws and plastic parts that I feel are suspect quality. I understand the box setup is not very competitive, but some guys are finding the way with a lot of rear toe in.

I just got my electronics installed. As always, I go the extra step to black out all wires and make everything as clean as possible. I just need to paint the body and source some 1/8th scale modern Mercedes or Ferrari decals.

Congratulations, you've acquired a gorgeous car. In your typical fashion, I'm sure it will be a meticulous build.

Do you happen to own the older F180 variant? That was a fascinating car, especially with its front disc controlled braking system.
