Happy new year

Post by Dadio »

Let's hear some heart warming stuff about moving from 2024 into 2025 , I'll start .
This time last year I was mourning my mother's passing , full time carer for my children and not had a job in years , now I'm mentally in a far better place and I have a job I love , just got a promotion and my second pay rise in eight months , working for a company making the world's first solar and electric powered system for refrigerated truck transport, at the age of 55 I've finally found a place to work that uses all of my skills and creativity , might be able to buy my house outright soon , in short I'm optimistic and really looking forward to 2025 .
And obviously I wish you all the best for the new year.
If a jobs not worth doing then its certainly not worth doing well.

Happy 2025 New Years--and year of the snake! Wishing everyone good health and good fortune. I survived being a father for a year and celebrated my son's first birthday. Going to the bathroom and taking a shower, felt like my only retreat for myself at times. Many life lessons learned. Who needs sleep when an angel is next to you? The highs are higher and the lows are lower, but fatherhood is rewarding. I'm not the center of the universe anymore--and that's good. I can pass on my expensive vintage RC to someone after I die lol. Respect for anyone on this forum who took on the challenge of raising kids.

Happy New Year everyone. Best wishes for happiness and prosperity.

My "good news" at the moment is that I've enrolled in school to get my contractor's license back. I had it back through the 90's and early 00's, but let it go when I tried to "retire" from the trades. Wasn't done working, just didn't want to be in the trades anymore. Long story short, I'm back in now and gotta get all the business stuff in order to do it.
