my final Ten4.1, a CC build

Post by GoMachV »

For the last Ten4.1 I decided to go a little different route by adding CC to the end of it 😉.

The clear parts are just my regular ten4.1 parts but printed with a clear resin. The clear parts are not strong, but they will look great on the shelf. I may offer very limited numbers of the clear parts but they will come with plenty of warnings attached.

Thank you to all that have purchased Ten4.1 kits and especially those that believed in us early on and were building theirs as we were making the parts. It's been a fun project. Can't wait to bring the next project to fruition.

Wow very cool Jeff. My ten4.1 kit is still sitting in the box waiting for my new team car kit to get here. 8)

Are those straight off the printer?

The clear parts are straight off someone else's resin printer but then drilled and tapped as I was scared to self tap a screw into them. My previous experience with the clear parts was really bad, but these seem stronger.

When I’ve tried clear filament, the print is frosted. Didn’t think you could get the print to be that clear - really nice!

These are professionally printed in 8001 Resin, I definitely haven't had any success at home with transparent filament.

Without a doubt, this is the coolest CC I've seen so far. This project completely justifies the use of clear plastics. Brilliant!

BTW, for a moment, I thought you've ventured in the realm of resin printing - I was going to ask for advice. I'll need something to make windshields and clear lenses. Apparently my FDM printer isn't the best tool for making clear parts. Might look into vacuum forming.

The front wheel halves with the hex really add to this build, and the tranny looks amazing. You must have an enormous display case!
