Sanwa Dash R2 Modulation identify

Post by Libra »

Hi at all,

i have this Sanwa transmitter and it's working for 41 MHz.
The thing i don't know if this working in AM or FM modulation.
It's 41 MHz AM or FM? On the manual say is full AM band.
The Tx i have, are equipped with a 41.040 MHz crystal.

The crystal i find on the net, are all FM for the 41MHz.
And waht receiver are compatible with this Dash R2?

Thanks at all.

I have a sanwa dash but unfortunately there are no markings on the receiver, and nothing on the box mentioning the receiver. The receiver is all black with no label and has "dash" molded into it, so it is unique if you are trying to find the exact one. These are definitely AM. Any AM Airtronics, Cox, or Sanwa receiver of the pre 1991 era should work just fine so long as it's tuned for the same band as yours and has matching crystals.

Thanks so much Gomachv.

Where can I find, a set of AM crystal for this tx (and rx)?
On the net I find lot's of 41.040MHz crystal sets, but all are only FM.

Thanks,

Libra

I thought the frequency was 40mhz, not 41mhz. Maybe 40 is close enough?

Hi at all, sorry for the reupload.

I try it the Dash transmitter (41 MHz AM) and the 40 MHz crystal, with a techniplus AR-201 T2M 41 MHz AM receiver.
It's working at half, the steering and the throttle working in one sense only. When adjust the trimmer,
is slight better on the inverse side, but not all. I understand the Sanwa / Acoms are not fully compatible.
I find many Sanwa receiver to 40 MHz; can i use it if the transmeitter is 41 MHz AM but both crystal are 40 MHz?
I'm in the range?

Thanks at all.

Sanwa stuff can be finicky.

I've got a 27mhz Sanwa receiver that only works right on the channel of the included crystal.

This receiver must have come from overseas, it has an EU ch 1 crystal, 26.975mhz. That is an odd channel in the US. Luckily, I have a Xmods crystal set for channels 7-12.

I don't know about 40/41 mhz stuff. But most all 27mhz AM stuff works together, regardless of brand.

On 75mhz, the crystals need to match the corresponding device. For example, a Futaba/Hitec/Jr (all use the
same protocol) transmitter can be used with an Airtronics (different protocol) receiver. In addition to being on the same channel, the crystals must match the protocol for the device.
Always looking for new and interesting ways to waste money.

I try again with the techniplus receiver, and is working perfectly!

I stupidly reverse the servo, on the transmitter with the dip switch

As soon as possible i make a video.

Thanks,
