Yep since the motor is flipped the polarity is reversed. Not a problem on a modified motor but a timed super stock type motor would be unhappy. Usually you flip the top shaft and cut the motor plate, if you can't flip polarity.

One question about flipping the gearbox around to do a mid motor. Isn't a reverse rotator motor needed, or a 0 degree timing motor that can be run reverse polarity for driving forward? I've always flipped the top shaft direction when I do a mid motor to keep motor rotation in the normal direction.

I just click throttle reverse on my transmitters. If it’s brushless I just swap 2 of the 3 motor wires around.

Now that I think about my conversions they are all gas to electric so they were all mid motor to start with. So they are probably all running the correct direction anyways.

Did you guys buy a Chain drive factory? Lot of Chain drive stuff coming out of your camp.
