My first rc paintjob

Post by ZED32 »

Finally got around to painting the brand new body for my hornet show car. Spaz Stix candy apple red on the body and mirror chrome on the wing. It's not perfect, but for a first time I think it's pretty good.

Nicely done! That's some painting skill!

Thanks! I have plenty of experience with an airbrush on model cars and such, this was just my first time with lexan.

Also, if anyone is using a spray booth, make sure you clean/replace your filters regularly. Mine was dirty and so the booth wasnt flowing air properly. I got a pretty killer headache from all the paint I was inhaling, even with a good mask.
