Monster Beetle MSC spacers

Post by Brendan2904 »

Does anyone have a file for the spacers on the Monster beetle/blackfoot/frog manual speed control that raises the speed control off of the metal plate? Part A3 pic below.

If nobody has a printable file, it looks like they are still included on the re-re parts tree.

If you can't find it, I should have some leftover from my Blackfoot.

If someone has the measurements, I can draw up a printable STL file.

Take them as a challenge and create your own. They are very basic Tinkercad shapes. A single cylinder, with a "hole" cylinder aligned in the middle.
I build RCs like people would have done back in the '90s ..................................... if they had 3D printers.

Couldn’t you just order some plastic washers in the correct thickness?

I could. But the benefit to printing them is that I would have them right away instead of waiting. I could also order a rere a parts tree or get a new rere kit too. I just was hoping someone had a file.

I do not have the part to model, but if my understanding is right it is very very simple to model with whatever tool, and a very good occasion to learn. One sketch, two circle, an extrusion, stl export done. It may be something you can do directly in a slicer even...
I buy kits to build and ru(i)n them :-)

Can't you cut down any piece of plastic tube / plastic sprue leftover + drill a hole?

I could try a lot of things. I was working on a monster beetle and decided to ask if anyone had an stl file because I was working on it when I asked. It is now back on the shelf and I am just going to order the parts tree. Thank you all for the suggestions and advice.

No worries dude. Already ordered the parts. It’s good to have spares. Especially with Tamiya stuff. Thank you for the offer.
