Re: Blasphemous T2 retro racer
I've been a little distracted with my 21.5 Pre-Pro SE build, but i wanted to get this truck on the track next week. Ordered a shell and some other trick parts from Amain... but Helene has somehow made my typical Amain in Charlotte-next-day-arrivial to come from Chino-next-week-if-I'm-lucky...so it's built some T4 shocks I had lying around since my 13mm stuff won't be here in time. Should have a few more updates next week.

Re: Blasphemous T2 retro racer
No going back now. I do need to get the correct 8/32 countersink...if you know, you know-
Began to mod for a fan opening, have to be way more creative to get proper fan placement with good flow. Still need to make the carbon mount. Playing with tower options while I get some made for my body mounts, mock ups feel good Finished up reaming, freeing and eliminating any binding throughout the truck. Seems like 90% of building a race vehicle is little stuff like this. Liking how this is coming together. Blasphemous shell should be here Tuesday

Stickers on. Some new, some old.
Not happy with the bearing seat tolerance on these wheels, not sure I'm going to be able to use these for long. Interestingly, 3 sets of tires. JC Ellipse, PL M3 Cut'N'Shut and the JC Smoothie 2 LP. The CNS tires with custom pool noodle inserts were what we did to run diesel as sauce in 2012 era, but the smoothie LP is even smaller. We'll see how they are on track

Re: Blasphemous T2 retro racer
First run today, 6th in the A, truck was really solid right from the start. Lost a pinion in the 1st round, sorted into the mixer heat and just got beat up everywhere and had to race the B and then bump-
Fast guys were 13.1s with 13.5 boosted motors and current trucks, I was getting 13.3 with 17.5 blinky and 105F motor temps after 6 min, so I'm sure i could go up at least 3 teeth. Not a bad start. Also found 2 sets of AE 9880 steering knuckles to run hex conversions while I was there.
**edit** the esc said 111f motor temps lol

Re: Blasphemous T2 .4 Racer
Couple of final updates, slow mo vid showed some pretty significant steering deflection so we added some solid FT aluminum servo mounts and JConepts aluminim bellcranks to decrease that issue. Added B6 5MM ballstuds and ball cups and a horrific looking aluminim Team Brood 35mm fan mount since Amain sent me.the wrong size carbon one. At least they sent it overnight and for free....so that's a really cool thing
Truck is good to go for Jan!

Re: Blasphemous T2 .4 Racer
This build continues to be strong on track, had multiple odd issues with the JConcepts bellcranks coming loose mid race, maybe I should have thrown a little thread locker on them, however they really do add a bunch to the front end grip consistency. Miles ran this at the Tamiya World Classic at WORC. His heats were rough, but he put it in 7th in the A in Q3, then got bumped to 8th (P1 B) in Q4.
The B was rough, he was in his own head and came in 2nd
Truck was great, track was ok. Wil continue with the truck Mar 1
