The site has started logging me out frequently. A few posts get read and then I have to sign in again. Has something changed or is there an increase in the site getting traffic overload again?

Nothings changed that I'm aware of that would cause something like this to happen. I checked the server monitor the other day and there's no unusual spikes in traffic. Lets see if it's happening to anyone else. Try a different browser if you can to see if the problem persists.

Might be an adblocker or something that's blocking or deleting the login cookie.
Consistency is the key I keep misplacing.

Yeah, seems localized to me like a cookie issue of some kind which is why I suggested trying another browser.

Another thing to try is in your User Control Panel under the Profile tab, there's a link that says Manage “Remember Me” login keys. Click that and delete everything it lists. That may do something to help.

I had to re-login on all my 168 devices a couple of days ago, but I figured that was just me transitioning from blue to orange.

Here's a curiosity. Not really sure if my thanks are going through, seems as though they are. Started maybe yesterday.

Ok, I was going to wait another day before saying anything, but I've had the same thing for the past day or two every time I "thank" someone.

EDIT: I've been on my laptop for what it's worth.

Ditto on the thanking...

Might just be my inability to want to learn but the log in issue happened on my phone last time I tried doing the small screen rc10talk.com thing. Don't like the small screen anyway and rather use my bigscreen pc for this site anyway but could've been my new phone situation too...

Same. They do go thru though. I've just been hitting "Return to post". It's weird though. Not sure what causes it. It doesn't always happen.

Hmmmmmmm odd. :? Things like this are a tough one since it randomly started happening, and nothing changed that would cause it. In these cases the only thing I can do is ask the person who developed it for some support. I Googled it and got nowhere.

I am actually relieved that "invalid thank" is common. I thought I had done something dumb to cause it. Once it started for me, it never stopped. I just refresh and all is well.

I checked and we're using an older version of the extension. I'll update it to the newest one to see if that fixes anything. I've also made the developer of it aware so we'll see what happens there.

I forget exactly what it was but I remember there being another problem with this after initially installing it. I think it has to do with removing a 'thank' also causes an issue.

A major dilemma is the forums here rely on around 50 extensions (sometimes called mods or plug-ins) to function the way you see it. The more you have installed, the more problems you're going to get. It's incredible that we have that many running at the same time for one thing, and there's no conflictions among them for another. Then there's the issue of using them in general since they're developed by 3rd party individuals. It can be a teenager in Botswana for goodness' sake. What frequently happens is the person who created whatever it is vanishes, stops supporting it, or there's a problem they can't resolve. The only option then is to uninstall it. :?

The response from the developer feels it's the fault of a new feature Cloudflare is rolling out in which they enable on everyone's account by default. :? They think disabling it will fix the problem which I've done. Is it working again?
