Id hold off on the FanRc until he sorts the gritty diff plates and fixes the gear mesh issue. As much as I hate to say it, the AE trans is probably the way to go for now at least.
Do you know if he is working on those issues Jeff?

That I can't say. I'm sure he knows about the issues.

GoMachV wrote: Sat Sep 28, 2024 12:03 pm The new gear diff FanRC trans requires drilling the motor plate but I don't think you drill the chassis at all. From what I've seen it's just a simple drill jig for the motor plate

But yeah that's the main thing we concentrated on with our case- no drilling for ANY rc10, and any brace fits as well
I searched your site and couldn't find it.. Do you have a link to your trans?

This was available for pre-order on AE site wasn't it? I see it says out of stock now.

Probably sold out what they were planning to release already. Associated let you prepay. I jumped on the Jay Halsey a few months back, finally got an “awaiting shipment” email from them today! Years ago when they did the first rc10 classic re release I attempted to pre order from A main, I waited and waited, checking for updates for months, when associated finally released it, my order was cancelled. Not really sure what happened other than they pre sold more than they were allotted to actually sell lol. I was bummed, and ended up buying a big box of rc10 parts and building one up like that. If I had to guess, you’ll see a Jay Halsey or 10 pop up on eBay for resell after they start shipping.

So has anyone else gotten anything other than the “awaiting shipment” email on these yet?

Amain has pre-orders for $390.

I may wait a bit to see if I can get one from LiquidRC or nitrohobbies direct.

That about covers the tax, nice. Do they still have that coupon?

I Google "Amain coupon" every time I order. They always have them. Or you can scroll to the bottom of their main page. These are current:

Every email that I get has monthly coupons. They vary a little from month to month. Each coupon can be used once a month.

Good luck! Hopefully since they took your order, you’ll have one in the mail soon!
