C Stamp Gold Pan Runner/Racer build

Post by mikea96 »

Picked up this dirty but nice condition late C Stapmp CE buggy that I'm going to build into a runner. Have most items to start.

Very cool, I happen to really like the late cars myself.
One of the best versions of the RC10 8)
Who do you race for ?
Me……. I race for me.
That’s impossible, I was told you need a sponsor to race.
Hey Cru ! Go balls out 8)

That will be a nice runner! What sort of ESC does it have?
Frankensteined RC10T3 / Franky Jr RC10GT-e (x2) / A+ stamp / Toy Story RC / Graphite replica / B1.5 BFG 5LTi / Clonewald / Hyper Hornet

It's a Duratrax M5 but this will get a 17.5 brushless setup.

Nice start, going to be fun one! Does it have bearings already?

The mid-late cars are my favorite. The long arms look better, and bonus points for a stealth. Keep in mind this is coming from someone who doesnt own an rc10.

Yeah I really like the late cars like this as well. The front wheels had bearings but I think the rest is bushings.

Was able to break the car down and plastic parts are soaking in simple green and chassis set all cleaned up. Trying to decide if I want to do any chassis mods like cutting the sides down or any milling inside the chassis.

I mounted my steering  Haven't had a lot of time for rc stuff lately. Hoping to have it to roller status by the end of the week. Anyone still run there's with small bore shocks or is everyone running big bores now?

I polished up the hinge pins and installed arms but my left front arm mount is pretty sloppy so I need to replace it.

I might swap out the arm mounts front and rear to white versions as I have plenty of those.

You might be surprised about the slop and it's effects (or affects) i borrowed one of Jason's ReRe worlds cars to race in 23' and 24' and it was the sloppiest RC10s i ever felt on the bench but was buttery on the track. Couldn't believe how good it was. I actually over-ream mine now and they bench feel the same but on track are money
