He never lead, he just had a lot of boost and gearing-

That car races at WORC with me occasionally, surprisingly it handles the super high grip pretty well. Surprised me honestly

I was just joking about JJ and his Ultima leading the RC10s again. Tokyoprof recently posted about the dominance of the Ultima at the 1987 Worlds (https://www.rc10talk.com/viewtopic.php?t=49944) so this pic from VONATS felt like an opportunity to bring it up again.

I'm curious about something from those that go and race. Do you bring a lot of spare parts? If anything gets broken, is it usually front end parts? I know it's not an RC demolition derby, but that's what I always picture happening (based on my personal lack of driving skills).

I bring everything, and my son and I go together so I usually bring 4 spares of everything as able. As the re re stuff is around, there are things I can get right off the shelf that works, but some that doesn't. The gatherings however l, everyone seems to share parts needed very well

Yes you definitely need to bring your own vintage hobby shop whenever you are running especially harder to find models. If I'm racing my B2 or b3 for instance, whichever one I'm not racing becomes my backup. Plus I have spares. For my rc10, like Reg said, spares come along and the vonats crew is pretty good with helping each other out.

I just went through the photo album and I've got to say Mr. Divitto took some great pictures! Made me feel like I was there watching the racing.
Old school racing all the way!

You definitely want to have a good amount of spares. Especially if it's a car with a lot of custom one off stuff. And like Joe mentioned, if you don't have a lot of spares, just bring extra cars to use for backup.

This is the amount of stuff I typically take to the track if I'm staying relatively close to home (within a 2 hr drive). Radios, batteries, chargers in the green tote. B2/B3/T3 parts in the blue tote. RC10 parts in the Worlds box. Extra tires in the cardboard box. If I'm going to a bigger event like Vonats or the vintage race in NC, it's more. If it fits in the car I want it to go along.

Track looked more vintage friendly jump wise than 2023 from watching drmosfets videos. So that's cool. The level of spares is what makes it hard to come to this by airplane for sure.

Could probably pull off an extra duffle bag carry on of spare parts and tools. After that I'd need my whole usual Factory support team and crated shipping I usually arrive at IFMAR with :D

2023 at RCE kinda sucked. And they started gluing the track which made it even worse.
